Prince Edward Volunteer Rescue Squad (PEVRS) understands the importance of providing EMS services during special events or community programs, including but not limited to: festivals, parades, large-scale events, outdoor events, and sporting events.

Standby services differ depending on the organization requesting (government vs. business vs. nonprofit) services. Although PEVRS will make every effort to provide the level of service requested, no specific level of service or coverage can be guaranteed due to the nature of EMS services and the fact that the priority of EMS is always response to 911 calls made by Prince Edward County residents and visitors.

To request EMS standby services, please complete the form below. A member of our agency's leadership team will contact you directly to discuss your event, your needs, and our agency's availability to staff. If a member of our team contacts you and informs you that we are unable to staff your event, they will provide a list of alternative options. Pricing for standby staffing depends on the nature of the event, the number of units needed, and the length of the event.

Please note that all standby staffing is "uncommitted," meaning that while you pay for EMS staffing, if a call is received for somewhere else in the County and the other staffed units are unavailable, we will need to respond. However, if such a case does occur, we will return after the completion of the call, and your total invoice will be prorated for the time our staff is away on a 911 call.
