How can I contact PEVRS for community events or standby requests?

We are happy to attend community events or staff standbys when requested. Please click here to visit the "Standby Request" section of our website and complete the request form.

What is Squad Care and who can use it?

Squad Care is a unique agency-specific membership program that allows you to pay one, inexpensive annual fee and save hundreds if you or someone in your household needs to be treated or transported by PEVRS. Squad Care is open to anyone who lives in Prince Edward County. All Longwood and Hampden-Sydney students are automatically Squad Care members by virtue of an agreement with both institutions. How can I support Prince Edward Volunteer Rescue Squad?

There are multiple ways that you can support our agency. You can support us by becoming a member of Squad Care, making a charitable donation, or purchasing agency apparel as it's available.

Are all of the agency's providers trained and certified?

Yes! Whether you are treated by an EMT-B, AEMT or Paramedic, all of our medical providers are certified and licensed by the Commonwealth of Virginia, and most of our providers are NREMT certified, too. In addition, all of our providers must renew their certifications, take continuing education courses, and attend regular agency trainings.

If I have a billing-related issue, who should I contact?

If you have a billing-related issue, please contact our Administrative Assistant, ShaNequa Scott at admin@pevrs.org. In your email, please detail the problem, the date of service, any important insurance details, and provide your best return contact information.

Is Prince Edward Volunteer Rescue Squad a nonprofit?

Yes! PEVRS is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit. If you have questions about any charitable gift tax deducibility, please consult with your tax professional.
